HE SAW HER

she had never seen his face or spoken his name
she didnt even know the color of his eyes
but he saw her
he felt her pains
and knew her aches
but had never reached out to touch her
he had comforted her
but never actually placed his arms around her
he had been this voice of reason
this bit of hope
she looked up to him
but never contemplated whether he was taller than her
she had smiled thinking of him
but in her dreams
he had no features
he knew of her value
he spoke highly of her character
but she had never heard his voice
he was this statue of strength
these words of wisdom
he praised her
when she did not feel worthy of praise
he made her feel like she could
made her think it'd get better
he was the epitome of a MAN
she wanted him in every other she met
she compared the rest to the BEST
but soon she came to realize the mold
had been smashed into a million pieces
she did not expect it
she was just content in the fact
